It's very interesting reading this fic while the current season is airing, because this transformation really is happening to Cameron, at least a little, and however much she resists. (like the $100 bet about marriage.)

"I saw her talking to Cuddy first thing this morning," Chase offered helpfully.

House looked at him with a mixture of appreciation and distaste. "Are all Australians such rat-finks? Not that it doesn't come in handy, but I've wondered."

2006-04-11 12:33 am UTC (link) Somehow I missed part 2, but I'm glad to be caught up now. Woo! Still lovin' the great dialogue, though there are one or two places where I thought you could remove an adverb and have the sentence still flow as nice.

Thank you for confirming that no matter how in-character, sharp, and excellent the storyline OR fic is written, I will never buy into Cameron and House. I'm not saying I don't like your fic, or that I am not looking forward to the final part. I do; and I am. It's everything House fics should be; I invasion it as clearly in my head as watching an actual episode. I just... truly don't like Cameron and House.

Thank you. I always wanted to know if it was a fic thing or a genuine dislike.

I'm glad you're enjoying the story in spite of your dislike of House/Cameron as a pairing -- that's good to hear. And I don't mind having helped you settle the question of whether it was just the fic or the whole idea of the actual characters together that you disliked. :)

2006-04-22 11:03 am UTC (link) I find that all the characters make me want to smash something at one time or another, especially this season. Well, maybe not so much Cuddy or Chase (although he had a couple of really obnoxious moments in S1 and I can see why other people are bugged by him), but everybody else (yes, Wilson included, although last week he was the only character I did like).

House lunged for the wheel. Wilson barely managed to hold him off as Cameron leaned down and tapped on the tinted glass. Keeping House at bay with a well-placed elbow, Wilson pressed the button and rolled the window down.

Oh boy, I laughed so hard at this I think I woke my roommate. This is how written comedy should be.

I think I snorfled my coffee at that one. fatal calm. That is so Wilson. As is "I see that went well". I love that i can actually hear him saying your lines :)
